Job Description

The Senior Financial Manager will lead the financial function at Ashton Fire, driving business growth through effective financial planning, management, and reporting. This role requires a highly experienced accountant with a strong track record of delivering results-oriented financial solutions.

We are seeking a fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA) with solid experience in a similar level role. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of productivity tools, such as accounting packages and MS Excel, and be able to use initiative and work at pace.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies to drive business growth
  • Manage financial reporting output to align with strategic objectives
  • Proactively advise on the financial impact of decisions
  • Coordinate budget and forecasting processes
  • Ensure compliance with financial, tax, and reporting regulations
  • Line manage and mentor the Finance team
  • Record Keeping: oversee transactions and financial events
  • Management Accounts: manage month-end process and prepare monthly accounts
  • Reporting and Management Information: develop weekly/monthly/quarterly reports
  • Budget and Forecasting: prepare annual budget and quarterly forecasts
  • Accounts Payable: oversee timely payments for goods/services
  • Accounts Receivable: manage invoicing procedures and credit control
  • Payroll + benefits: manage payroll process and ensure accurate payments
  • Internal audits + controls: conduct internal audits and ensure compliance

Estimated Salary: £65,000 - £85,000 per annum, depending on experience.
