Employee Relations Advisor

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Employee Relations Advisor to join our team at Capita. As an Employee Relations Advisor, you will play a key role in providing expert advice and guidance to managers and employees on employment-related matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide consistent and high-quality ER advice and guidance to managers and employees, including absence management, welfare, and OH referrals, AWOL, performance, disciplinary, and grievance procedures, and flexible working.
- Facilitate a proactive approach to absence management to ensure a smooth return to work.
- Raise awareness of the importance of undertaking maternity, DSE, stress, and other risk assessments, and support the business in managing mental health issues and creating a healthy work environment.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording and management of ER cases on the case management system.
- Act as the initial point of escalation from the ER Assistants.
Requirements
- Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- ER advisory experience, a good working knowledge of theory, legislation, and best practice.
- CIPD qualified desirable but not essential.
- Shared service centre experience preferable but not essential.
- Excellent written and telephone communication skills.
- Well-organized, with the ability to work to tight deadlines and excellent attention to detail.
