Job Title: Nursery Practitioner and Room Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursery Practitioner and Room Leader to join our team at Hedgehog Recruitment Careers. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading the planning and implementation of safe, creative, and engaging opportunities for children, ensuring that they meet the requirements of the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stages).

Main Responsibilities:
  • Assist the nursery manager and deputy nursery manager in the day-to-day running of the setting.
  • Support the nursery staff and ensure they comply with all policies, procedures, and standards, including health and safety, hygiene, inclusion, and confidentiality.
  • Develop and maintain good relationships and communication with parents/carers to facilitate meeting the needs of each child, including organizing meetings to update and involve parent/carers in their child's learning.
  • Help induct, supervise, and contribute to the performance management of staff according to policies and procedures.
  • Work creatively with children to develop their skills and abilities.
Requirements:
  • Relevant qualifications and experience in early years education.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
