Financial Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our team at Octagon Group, a leading technology business based in Oxfordshire. As a key member of our Finance team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Finance Manager and Chief Accountant in all aspects of company finance.
The successful candidate will have specialist responsibilities in statutory accounting, compliance, tax treatment, internal audit, and company insurance. Key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and submitting statutory accounts and tax returns
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations
- Managing cash flow and financial policies
- Coordinating internal audits and risk assessments
- Managing company insurance and risk management
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Educated to A-Levels or equivalent
- Qualified or studying towards an accountancy qualification or qualified by experience (QBE)
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a manufacturing finance environment
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel
- Knowledge of legislation and regulations required to ensure processes remain compliant
