Financial Accountant

We are seeking a skilled Financial Accountant to join our dynamic team at Accountancy Action. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our financial records.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts for UK and overseas entities, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
- Oversee compliance with all legal requirements, including VAT, payroll, and corporation taxes, to minimize risks and ensure regulatory adherence.
- Support the development and implementation of cash management strategies, monitoring cash flow and handling intercompany reconciliations to optimize financial performance.
- Ensure accurate R&D tax credit submissions and manage the company's insurance policies to minimize financial exposure.
We are looking for a detail-oriented and results-driven individual with:
- Experience in a finance team, preferably in a manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of financial processes and procedures.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve financial discrepancies.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel, with the ability to analyze and interpret complex financial data.
- A recognized accounting qualification or be working towards one, with a strong commitment to ongoing professional development.
- A competitive salary of £35,000-£40,000 based on experience, with opportunities for growth and professional development.
