About the Role:

The Magnolia School LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced School Facilities Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our school facilities, ensuring they are well-maintained, safe, and compliant with all relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facility Management:
    • Oversee daily operations, ensuring facilities are well-maintained and meet the needs of our students and staff.
    • Manage building, grounds, and equipment maintenance, including repairs and replacements as needed.
    • Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
    • Implement and monitor health and safety policies, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Budget Management:
    • Develop and manage the facilities budget, ensuring effective use of resources and minimizing waste.
    • Manage supplier and contractor contracts, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of services.
  • Project Management:
    • Plan and oversee building projects and refurbishments, ensuring timely and budget-friendly completion.
    • Coordinate with contractors to ensure high-quality work and minimize disruptions to school operations.
    • Monitor the quality of contractors' work, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
  • Emergency Planning and Response:
    • Develop and implement emergency response plans, ensuring the safety of students, staff, and visitors.
    • Coordinate emergency drills and staff training, ensuring all personnel are prepared to respond to emergencies.

Requirements:

  • Experience in facilities or premises management, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Budget and resource management skills, with the ability to develop and manage budgets and contracts.
  • Leadership and team management abilities, with the ability to motivate and supervise staff.
  • Qualifications in facilities management or a related field, such as a degree in facilities management or a related field.
