About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team at Affinity Trust. As a Senior PBS Practitioner, you will be responsible for managing and leading the delivery of our Positive Behaviour Support service in North East Lincolnshire.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality Positive Behaviour Support to children and young people with learning disabilities and behaviours that challenge.
  • Undertake reviews of multidisciplinary reports and social care assessments, and contribute to functional assessments of behaviours, Positive Behaviour Support Plans, and risk assessments.
  • Implement and oversee intervention and support programmes for a designated number of children and young people, and undertake direct work with children, young people, families, and other professionals as required.
  • Provide responsive emergency interventions and crisis plans when required.
  • Line manage Specialist Key Workers, providing guidance and direct coaching on the PBS plan implementation.
  • Contribute to the quarterly review of PBS plans and amend as required.
  • Ensure that all Affinity Trust policies and procedures are understood and implemented by staff.
Requirements
  • Positive Behaviour Support qualification, BTEC level 4 or above, MSc in ABA or PBS.
  • Experience of working with children and young people with learning disabilities and behaviours that challenge.
  • Experience of multi-agency working and working alongside other professionals.
  • Ability to deliver intensive support and interventions to children and young people, families, and other professionals.
  • Ability to develop positive professional relationships with children and young people, families, and a range of professionals.
