About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join a strong social care team in Powys County Council. As a Senior Practitioner, you will form part of a committed management structure delivering social care services to people in mental distress. You will be working under the Welsh Measures and the social services and wellbeing act. Your responsibilities will include management of a small group of staff comprising of social workers/ AMHPs and mental health support workers. We work to the principles of the social services and wellbeing act:

AMHP status is required as we deliver a statutory mental health assessment services to the people and families within Powys. A relocation package is available. Powys is a great council to work for with work/life balance as a primary focus. - Lead with a small management team
- Deliver quality services
- Offer supervision and complex case work advice
- AMHP interventions under the MHA subsequent amendments
- Caseload management, allocations and case closures
- Interagency collaborative working and development of social care processes
