About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Propulsor Design Specialist to join our Propulsor team at BAE Systems.

As a Propulsor Design Specialist, you will be responsible for using various pieces of design software to support the design manufacture and in-service support for propulsors across multiple platforms.

You will work closely with the team to develop and implement new designs and technologies.

The estimated salary for this role is £55,000 - £75,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Using various pieces of design software to support the design manufacture and in-service support for propulsors across multiple platforms
  • Working closely with the team to develop and implement new designs and technologies
  • Supporting technical development and research activities, methods and acceptance criterion, liaising with industrial partners and external customers as necessary
  • Providing realistic programme status, identify problem areas and implement agreed recovery plans
  • Supporting junior engineers within the team
  • Supporting installation activities in the production environment
Requirements
  • Mechanical Engineering Degree (or related STEM degree)
  • Understanding of material strength properties (elastic and plastic properties)
