Procurement Specialist

DCT Recruitment is seeking a skilled Procurement Engineer to join our client's team in the Shotton Paper Mill Project.
- End-to-end procurement responsibilities include tendering, sourcing, and supplier/contract management.
- Identify and implement measures to reduce Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) by analyzing necessary risks and opportunities.
- Analyze supplier and subcontractor offers to determine the most appropriate purchasing goal.
- Negotiate with suppliers, coordinate local contracts with the Project Manager, and obtain approval for contracts from the Main Office Contracts and Procurement Departments.
- Create new material alternatives and assess their usability in the project with the Technical Office Department.
- Deliver materials needed by the construction site on time, ensuring quality approval.
- Coordinate logistics and imports with the Head Office Procurement Department.
- Monitor the supply market, staying up-to-date with developments, trends, risks, and opportunities, and engage with existing and potential suppliers.
- Prepare procurement reports and presentations.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or relevant procurement experience in mechanical & electrical contracting projects.
- ERP software experience, preferably SAP.
Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM (1-hour unpaid break), £20.00 per hour PAYE.
