Risk and Compliance Security Specialist

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Risk and Compliance Security Specialist to join our team at Aviva. As a key member of our CISO GRC function, you will play a pivotal role in supporting, developing, and embedding a robust Risk and Governance culture across our organization.
As a Risk and Compliance Security Specialist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of activities to support and deliver first-line operational governance and oversight across CISO, as well as providing support into our Cyber Risk function. This will include issue management and oversight for business partnering activity, ensuring measures are in place to monitor and assess control effectiveness for our core applications and services.
You will work closely with CISO application teams and SMEs to provide advice and support in the application of local control requirements, control assessment evidence collation. You'll also be required to perform data monitoring and reporting, including monthly review of Operational Effectiveness MI and associated commentary to ensure action plans are in place where required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective risk and compliance strategies to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, assess, and mitigate risks to the organization.
- Perform regular risk assessments and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Develop and maintain risk and compliance metrics and reporting to inform business decisions.
- Provide guidance and support to employees on risk and compliance matters.
