About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at TimePlan Education. As a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with SEMH needs in a Specialist academy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and lead lesson plans and activities as a HLTA
  • Assist students with alternative learning methods
  • Provide one-on-one support to students requiring additional help
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to foster a positive learning environment
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff
  • Update, maintain, and monitor pupil plans
Requirements
  • Experience working with children or young people, ideally those with special educational needs (SEMH/SEN/SEND)
  • Ability to educate and engage students effectively
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with students, parents, and colleagues
  • GCSE Maths and English or equivalent qualifications
  • Enhanced DBS clearance or willingness to obtain one
