We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plating Team Leader to join our team at A&P Tyne. As a Plating Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the work of time-served platers who are working to strict industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and motivate your team of welders to achieve project goals, prioritizing and scheduling tasks.
  • Coordinate the team to complete daily and weekly targets, guiding and supporting them to foster a positive and efficient workplace.
  • Log activities, including project details, timings, and quality control reports.
  • Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols.
  • Identify training needs and opportunities for skill development and ensure they are followed up.
  • Address any equipment malfunctions promptly.
Requirements:
  • Supervisory/leadership experience and strong interpersonal skills.
  • A time plater/fabricator with in-depth knowledge of trade processes, techniques, and equipment.
  • Problem-solving abilities and an eye for detail.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and protocols in a fabrication environment.
