Role: We're seeking a skilled Staff Nurse to join our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at The Portland Hospital for Women & Children, a leading provider of private healthcare in the UK.

Job Summary: As a Staff Nurse in our PICU, you'll play a vital role in providing exceptional care to critically ill children, working closely with our team of Consultant Paediatric Intensivists and other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities:

  1. You'll be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care plans.
  2. Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to achieve excellent patient outcomes and provide emotional support to patients and their families.
  3. Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date with the latest treatment options and best practices in pediatric intensive care.
  4. Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions and excellent patient satisfaction.

Requirements:

  1. You must be a qualified Registered Nurse with a valid NMC registration and experience working in a pediatric intensive care setting.
  2. Hold a postgraduate qualification in pediatric intensive care or a related field.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  4. Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and bank holidays, as required.
