About the Role
We are seeking an ambitious and committed Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary team in our Out-of-Hours and Clinical Assessment service in Devon. As the largest independent provider of NHS services, Practice Plus Group is delivering a new model of Integrated Urgent Care that reduces pressures on services and staff.
As a Face-to-Face Clinician, you will have the opportunity to simplify and speed up the way patients receive care by assessing them, planning their care, administering treatment, and discharging or referring them to other healthcare professionals via primary care centres and home visits. You will also be using our electronic prescribing system.
We are specifically looking for Face-to-Face clinicians to work in our Plymouth Out of Hours base and look for you to work autonomously within your sphere of competency as part of a friendly and close-knit multi-skilled team. We can offer this role as either bank or self-employed.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients of all ages with unscheduled presentations
- Plan and administer treatment
- Discharge or refer patients to other healthcare professionals
- Use electronic prescribing system
Requirements
- Recent experience as an autonomous advanced clinical practitioner in a primary/urgent care environment
- Proven ability to see, treat, and discharge patients of all ages
- Patient assessment qualification and independent prescribing qualification
- Excellent listening and communication skills
- Good IT and keyboard skills
