Overview:
The Sterling Choice Ltd is seeking a highly experienced Head of Engineering to lead the engineering function on site and drive forward growth and standards. The successful candidate will have a successful track record in managing day-to-day operations, managing full cycle projects, and upskilling the engineering team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage day-to-day operations in the engineering department.
- Manage full cycle projects from inception to delivery, covering installations and process changes.
- Manage the recruitment process for the site and engineering team.
- Upskill and provide guidance to the hands-on engineering team.
- Attend and run daily production meetings.
- Take on senior site management responsibilities and work closely with other departments.
- Ensure adherence to site Health & Safety rules and legislation.
Requirements:
- Time-served / recognised apprenticeship (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering subject.
- Experience working in a senior engineering management position previously.
- Experience working in the food or FMCG environments and comfortable working to a fast pace.
- Ability to work to a fast pace and experience in a manufacturing environment.
