Job Summary

A Key Holder at Le Labo is responsible for supporting the management team in the daily running of the store, specifically opening, closing, and operations. They must remain consumer-focused to drive sales.

The Key Holder is accountable for:

  • Holding keys for the store and being responsible for the store opening and closing processes.
  • Supporting the management team with daily operations of the store.
  • Reflecting a credible and professional brand image to all internal and external consumers at all times.
  • Maximizing sales through selling, providing excellent service, and retail standards.
  • Contributing to efficiencies by adhering to store and brand procedures and guidelines.

Sales and Service

The Key Holder must:

  • Consistently deliver brand service and sales expectations.
  • Participate and support the management team in eventing opportunities.
  • Process till transactions effectively, accurately, and efficiently; manage queues as necessary.
  • Answer the phone in the correct manner and deal with consumer queries accurately.
  • Provide excellent customer service by tailoring experiences to meet consumer needs.
  • Adhere to appearance guidelines and maintain high personal standards.
  • Understand and deliver daily and weekly brand KPIs.
  • Engage and communicate effectively with consumers, providing accurate advice.
  • Effectively and efficiently deal with stock queries from consumers.
  • Deliver brand services as required.
  • Use social media to engage with consumers and maximize sales opportunities.

Product Knowledge & Retail Standards

The Key Holder is responsible for:

  • Providing consumers with relevant information about products.
  • Demonstrating a thorough understanding of the brand and product.
  • Adhering to all store and brand retail standards.
  • Maintaining housekeeping standards.
  • Supporting the management team with visual merchandising changes.
  • Maintaining an up-to-date awareness of new stock, best sellers, out-of-stock categories, and layouts.
  • Identifying faulty stock where appropriate and taking action.

Operations

The Key Holder must:

  • Attend operations and stock management training.
  • Be responsible for the opening of the store and beginning preparations for the day.
  • Be responsible for closing and securing the store at the end of the shift.
  • Be responsible for banking and till balancing.
  • Ensure the store is clean and organized.
  • Supervise the cleaning and delivery staff and oversee them outside of business hours.
  • Follow brand procedures when receiving, checking, and unpacking deliveries and actioning stock movements.
  • Store stock as per guidelines and procedures.
  • Accurately and effectively follow stock counting procedures when required.
  • Follow the replenishment process within agreed timeframes.
  • Accurately action promotions and discounts as per guidelines and/or instruction.
  • Adhere to the daily/weekly deployment rota.
  • Keep abreast of company information by means of workplace, team briefs, newsletters, or any other forums the brand utilizes.
  • Adhere to all communicated company standards, policies, and procedures.

Teamwork

The Key Holder must:

  • Offer support and training to colleagues where appropriate.
  • Assist cashiers in periods of high customer volume.
  • Treat colleagues as consumers and provide them with the best service possible.
  • Act as a role model and encourage colleagues to achieve agreed standards.
  • Take personal responsibility and ownership for development.
  • Understand the company culture and promote the brand image at all times.
  • Seek opportunities to share best practice to benefit the store.
  • Display a high standard of conduct, performance, and behavior at all times, in line with company guidelines, policy, and procedure.

Security and Health & Safety

The Key Holder is responsible for:

  • Managing the alarm system, including setting and disarming it.
  • Ensuring the security system is in working order.
  • Being part of the store 'on call' team should the alarm be triggered out of hours.
  • Identifying problems with working conditions, observed hazards/maintenance issues, and reporting them to management.
  • Adhering to store and brand Security Policy and Procedures and taking personal responsibility.
  • Adhering to store and brand Health & Safety Policy and Procedures, ensuring compliance with legal responsibilities and obligations.
  • Following fire safety procedures and understanding how to use associated equipment safely.
  • Demonstrating continual awareness of all Health & Safety requirements relating to lifting, carrying, and effective use of ladders/steps, etc.
  • Following and helping to organize evacuation/emergency procedures where appropriate.
