Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Heritage and Learning Manager to join our team at Lakeland Arts. This is a full-time role, working 37 hours per week.

The estimated salary for this position is £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the delivery of high-quality Participation and Learning programmes, including planning, scheduling, content development, and project management.
  • Develop and deliver exciting participation opportunities that engage participants, artists, partners, and audiences in ways that are inspired by and relevant for local communities, collections, and locations.
  • Work collaboratively with Creative Producers to create distinctive Participation and Learning programmes from idea generation to project delivery.
  • Contribute to the development of a public programme that reflects and makes accessible the richness of Lakeland Arts' collections, architecture, and surrounding landscape.
  • Effectively manage learning budgets and report on programme data and statistics to support Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation and other reporting requirements.
  • Lead on Lakeland Arts' Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults Policy and those relating to P&L, ensuring best practice is adopted.
  • Support funding applications, including project funding and capital bids.
  • Produce accurate and timely reports and information as required by Lakeland Arts, Cumbria Museums Consortium, Arts Council England, Heritage Lottery Fund, other funders, and partners.

Requirements:

  • A strong background in heritage, education, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication, project management, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively across teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
