At Taylor Hopkinson | Powered by Brunel, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Consultant to join our team in the renewable energy sector.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced consultant with a strong background in offshore wind and energy markets to work on various projects, including market analysis, competitor research, and strategic planning. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to articulate complex concepts effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Meet revenue targets by securing and delivering consulting services to clients in the renewable energy sector.
  2. Develop and deliver high-quality proposals to potential clients, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  3. Liaise with the Sales Manager and Director of Research to ensure proposals meet quality and revenue expectations.
  4. Lead and deliver successful consulting projects, coordinating with colleagues and producing timely, high-quality research.
  5. Conduct primary and secondary research using various methods, including proactive telephone investigations, industry event participation, desk studies, and data analysis.
  6. Write clear and engaging reports presenting findings and recommendations.
  7. Present at client meetings and industry events, representing the company's expertise.
  8. Feed learning back to the research team to ensure continued relevance and quality of market intelligence services.
  9. Develop a personal network of relationships within the industry.
Requirements
  • A degree in a technical or numeric discipline from a leading institution.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in engineering, operations, research, strategy, or consulting, preferably in the offshore wind sector.
  • Detailed knowledge of offshore wind industry trends and energy markets.
  • Proven ability to secure business through effective client engagement and proposal writing.
  • Skillful project management, including colleague coordination and quality delivery under pressure.
  • Strong numerical skills, statistical knowledge, and comfort with MS Excel analysis and forecasting.
Benefits

The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, along with opportunities for professional growth and development within the company.
