AirParlour is a pioneering platform dedicated to empowering freelance professionals in the wellness sector. Our mission is to provide innovative tools that simplify business management and create a seamless, transparent booking experience for clients. We envision a world where freelancers can thrive independently from traditional salons, enjoying the flexibility and control they desire.

Our initial focus is on hairdressing, where no platform currently serves freelance and mobile hairdressers—despite 75% of the UK workforce being self-employed, and many hairdressers working on a mobile basis. AirParlour offers a free SaaS CRM platform that allows freelancers to take bookings and receive payments. Our revenue model is based on commissions from new jobs sourced through our platform. With the wellness industry among the fastest-growing sectors in the UK and globally, we aim to expand from hairdressing to additional verticals like waxing, yoga, massage, nutrition, personal training, sports coaching and more.

We are looking for an experienced sales director to lead this next stage of growth, guiding the vendor onboarding strategy and scaling our operations.

This role offers a significant equity stake, granting meaningful ownership and influence over the company's future. The final equity offer will depend on factors such as your experience, any potential investment upon joining (optional), and agreed performance targets, such as vendor acquisition within the first 3-6 months.

The salary for this position will be competitive and commensurate with your experience. A retainer is available until funding is secured, which will support a salary increase. You will have the opportunity to shape the company's direction and influence the industry from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a scalable vendor onboarding strategy to drive growth.
  • Lead the sales team in targeting hairdressers in London and creating a playbook for expanding to regions outside London and the UK.
  • Foster strategic partnerships with trade organizations and other bodies to access potential vendors.
  • Cultivate a Brand Ambassador program to collaborate with influential hairdressers in supporting onboarding their networks.
  • Gather and report vendor feedback to refine the platform's functionality and messaging iteratively.
  • Build and manage a high-performing sales team as the company grows.
  • Oversee the development of the company's social media strategy, aligning it with vendor onboarding messaging to increase visibility and engagement.
Requirements
  • At least 10+ years of experience in sales strategy development, preferably in B2C or high-growth start-up environments.
  • Proven track record of managing teams and executing campaigns.
  • Experience in the wellness sector is beneficial but not required.
  • Ability to work remotely, with preference for candidates based near London, the initial target market.
  • Comfortable with hands-on efforts initially, including cold-calling and direct sales where required.
  • Entrepreneurial drive, adaptability, resilience, leadership, energy, and positivity.
