We are seeking an experienced Team Leader to join our team at a residential care home for young adults with learning disabilities and challenging behavior in Norwich.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the staff team, supporting the development of the team, and ensuring the promotion of the highest standard of care. They will also be part of the on-call team and work closely with the senior and group managers to ensure compliance with all standards and audit processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deputise for the Deputy Manager in their absence
  • Lead the staff team and support with the development of the team
  • Be part of the on-call team
  • Work with the senior and group managers to ensure compliance with all standards and audit processes
  • Ensure all care is delivered to the individual's care plan and maintain individuals' support and care plans
  • General day-to-day duties of the house and maintain health and safety and infection control measures in place
  • Ensure independence is always fully promoted
  • Assist individuals with meal preparations and other living skills to promote independence
Requirements:
  • Experience of working within care services
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 or equivalent in a health-related topic
  • Full clean driving licence
  • Willingness to expand on knowledge and undertake training
  • A passion for supporting young adults and encouraging independence
  • Good communicator with basic computer skills
  • Excellent commitment and reliability
