About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Night Care Assistant to join our team at The Getaway, a purpose-built home providing short breaks or shared care to disabled children and young people aged 9-17 years old.

As a Night Care Assistant, you will be responsible for the routine care and safety needs of the children within the home during the night. You will provide responsive care and support using a person-centred approach based on the individual needs of the children and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality care and support to children with complex needs
  • Work collaboratively with the management team and other staff members to ensure the smooth operation of the home
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and other stakeholders
  • Contribute to the development of the service through participation in reflective practice sessions and team meetings
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Level 3 Children and Young People's Workforce Diploma and Social Care Pathway (England) or equivalent qualification
  • Experience working with children with complex needs and their families
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to providing high-quality care and support
