Job Summary:

The Warehouse Shift Team Leader - Days role at Gregory Distribution is a key position that requires a strong leader to manage a large warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the warehouse, maintaining high levels of productivity and efficiency, and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and oversee picking operations to ensure safety and performance standards are met.
  • Accurately receive, pick, and dispatch pallets to meet customer demands.
  • Maintain accurate stock control and inventory management in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Engage with warehouse operatives to promote best practices and address any issues affecting productivity.
  • Identify and rectify any system or facility issues that impact productivity.
  • Ensure warehouse operatives adhere to company safety procedures and protocols.
  • Conduct performance reviews and one-to-one meetings with direct reports to maintain company standards.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a warehouse or transport environment is essential.
  • Hold a current LLOP, VNA, counterbalance license.
  • Strong IT knowledge, including warehouse management systems (Manhattan Scale).
  • Ability to lead change, engage, and communicate effectively with the team.
  • Capacity to identify and drive continuous improvement.
  • Excellent organizational skills and prioritization of workload.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
