Warehouse Shift Team Lead – 4on 4off, Days

About the Role:

The Warehouse Shift Team Lead will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. This includes monitoring picking operations, receiving and dispatching pallets, maintaining stock control, and engaging with warehouse operatives to encourage best practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor picking operations to ensure safety and performance are maintained in-line with company expectations and targets.
  2. Accurately receive, pick, and dispatch pallets.
  3. Maintain stock control in line with company policy and procedure.
  4. Engage with warehouse operatives to encourage best practice and understand any issues preventing them from achieving optimal pick rates.
  5. Take action to rectify any system or facility issues affecting optimal pick rates.
  6. Ensure warehouse operatives follow company procedure in terms of safety and picking operations.
  7. Carry out performance reviews and one-to-one meetings with direct reports to maintain company standards and targets.

Essential Skills:

  1. Previous experience working within the warehouse/transport environment is essential.
  2. Hold a current LLOP, VNA, counterbalance license.
  3. IT knowledge, including warehouse management systems (Manhattan Scale), is essential.
  4. Ability to lead change, engage, and communicate with the team.
  5. Ability to identify and drive continuous improvement.
  6. Excellent organizational skills and prioritizing workload.
  7. Able to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
