We are seeking a dedicated and versatile individual to join our team at Government Facility Services Ltd. as a Facilities Maintenance Operative. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing maintenance and repair services to our facilities, ensuring a safe and secure environment for our prisoners, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs to buildings, equipment, and systems
  • Assist in the upkeep of facilities, including cleaning, painting, and minor repairs
  • Work collaboratively with other teams to ensure smooth operation of facilities
  • Provide excellent customer service to prisoners, staff, and visitors
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • Experience in a maintenance or repair role, preferably in a prison or secure environment
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in a fast-paced environment
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and maintenance tasks
  • First Aid at Work qualification (desirable)
  • Level 2 qualification in English and Maths (desirable)
