About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and versatile individual to join our team as an Escort/Fabric Operative at HMP Bure, a Cat C & male prison. As a key member of our Facilities Maintenance Team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of the prison.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work alongside experienced colleagues to maintain the prison's facilities and infrastructure
  • Use your skills and experience to create a better future for others
  • Contribute to a supportive and driven team environment
  • Participate in the maintenance and repair of buildings, equipment, and systems
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the safe and secure operation of the prison
Requirements
  • Experience of working in a prison environment or a similar setting
  • Ability to use hand and power tools
  • Previous experience of working within a building fabric or hard FM environment
  • Up-to-date First Aid at Work qualification
  • Level 2 qualification in English and Maths
  • Good Health & Safety knowledge
  • Excellent organisational, time management, and people skills
