About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electronics Engineer to join our team at Octagon Group. As an Electronics Engineer, you will play a vital role in developing cutting-edge electronics platforms for new products and maintaining and enhancing existing designs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Stay up-to-date with product roadmaps and research developments.
  • Provide insightful recommendations for new areas of relevant research within the team.
  • Collaborate with your team to introduce novel techniques and product designs, achieving top-notch performance and efficiency to meet the demands of an ever-competitive technology field.
  • Ensure an all-encompassing approach to product design, considering not only optimal performance but also reliable and high-quality manufacturing.
  • Tackle technical challenges head-on by applying established problem-solving techniques and structured processes, including writing comprehensive 8D reports.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Management to push the boundaries of new product offerings while maintaining feasibility and testability at both component and system levels.
  • Foster strong relationships within the team and other disciplines, ensuring products meet safety, quality, and reliability expectations.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree (or equivalent) in Electrical and/or Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Good knowledge of mixed signal design, analogue and digital, with hands-on experience applying these principles to electronics products.
  • Exceptional communication skills in spoken and written English, enabling effective decision-making and business impact understanding.
  • Proven experience in a global engineering environment, collaborating with international teams to deliver electronics and product solutions in a multi-disciplinary design setting.
