Youth Support Worker - Criminology Graduate

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Criminology graduate to join our team as a Youth Support worker, supporting young people with additional needs.

The role involves providing individualized support to students, working closely with teachers and professionals to ensure tailored education, and identifying triggers for pupils' trauma and psychological needs.

To be successful in this role, you will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to work effectively in a team environment, and a passion for promoting young people's mental well-being.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for Criminology graduates to develop their skills in supporting vulnerable children, receiving advice from experienced staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support to students with additional needs.
  • Collaborate with the class teacher, on-site professionals, and other staff to deliver tailored education.
  • Identify potential triggers for pupils' trauma and psychological needs.
  • Facilitate therapeutic techniques to promote students' mental well-being.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree in Criminology or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • A passion for promoting young people's mental well-being.
Salary

The salary for this role is £29,000 per annum, depending on experience.
