Role Overview

We are seeking a qualified social worker to join our dedicated team in Devon. As a key member of the Children in Care department, you will be responsible for building trusting relationships with children and young people, ensuring their care plans reflect their individual needs and aspirations.

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Supporting Vulnerable Youth: Build strong relationships with children and young people, advocating for their needs and ensuring their voices are heard.
  2. Collaborating with Families and Foster Carers: Provide guidance and support to foster carers and families, helping them provide a nurturing environment for children in care.
  3. Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues, health professionals, educators, and other agencies to deliver holistic care and support.
  4. Securing Stable Futures: Play a crucial role in permanence planning, whether through adoption, long-term fostering, or supporting reunification with families.
  5. Empowering Independence: Support young people as they transition out of care, helping them develop essential skills and confidence for a bright future.

Requirements:

  • Completed ASYE in Children's Services
  • Social Work England Registration
  • Social Work Qualification
  • Right to Work in the UK

Salary: Up to £44 per hour (locum rate)
