Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Social Worker to join our team at Trevi Women Ltd. This is a part-time, permanent role that will involve working with complex families who have suffered trauma.

The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking parenting assessments within the timescales directed by the court/local authority. This will include working directly with families, completing risk assessments, placement plans, providing Court evidence, and providing educational activities and feedback to support the child's development and empower the parents to create change that is 'safe enough parenting'.

You will be focused on outcomes for children but able to work compassionately with parents too, many of whom may be fearful and distrustful of professionals. We are looking for motivated women who are committed to working from a trauma-informed perspective.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake parenting assessments within the timescales directed by the court/local authority
  • Work directly with families, completing risk assessments, placement plans, and providing Court evidence
  • Provide educational activities and feedback to support the child's development and empower parents to create change that is 'safe enough parenting'
  • Contribute to the service improvement plan, OFSTED and CQC compliance, and impact quality assurance

Requirements:

  • Qualified social worker with experience of working within statutory child protection services
  • Confident operating within the family court arena
  • Experience of working with complex families who have suffered trauma
  • Familiarity with the Care Standards Act 2000, Children Act 1989, 2004, 2022, and Working Together to Safeguard Children 2023

Salary: £31,406 - £34,590 per annum pro rata (£39,257 - £43,238 gross per annum)
