Our Kitchen

We are seeking a skilled Sous Chef to join our team at Birchgrove Pepperpot House. This beautiful property boasts stunning views of the Surrey Hills and offers easy access to local amenities. Our kitchen is well-equipped and spacious, providing an ideal setting for a hardworking and professional individual to shine.

The Role

As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our residents. You will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality dishes, while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, health, and safety. We aim to provide a fine dining experience with varied choices for every mealtime, as well as catering for private events.

Your Responsibilities

  • Maintain smooth kitchen operations, ensuring seamless service delivery
  • Develop nutritious and diet-sensitive meals that cater to residents' needs
  • Design and plan menus, ensuring variety and quality
  • Manage stock control and adhere to food cost guidelines
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and health and safety regulations
