Job Title: Flexible Community Podiatrist

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Podiatrist to join our team in Hertfordshire, providing high-quality care to patients in the community.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced NHS environment, delivering high-risk wound care and collaborating with other healthcare professionals. You will have the chance to develop your skills and expertise through training and supervision packages, as well as mentorship and line management responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-risk wound care across West Hertfordshire, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
  • Manage a caseload of patients and provide clinical supervision and mentoring to team members.
  • Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary and interagency working, including with nurses and doctors.
Requirements
  • BSc Degree in Podiatric Medicine or Diploma (if qualified prior 1991).
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council.
  • Certificate in local anaesthesia.
  • Postgraduate courses or education in Advanced Podiatric Practice or Diabetic Foot Module.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Non-medical prescriber.
  • Ionising Radiation (medical exposure) Regulations Training [IRMER].
  • Training in requesting and interpretation of investigations relevant to foot complications.
