About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Advisor to join our team at Inside Avenue Recruitment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance on health, safety, and environmental matters within our client's utilities service provider.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement health and safety best practices to ensure compliance with legislation and industry standards.
- Provide professional advice and guidance to management and operational staff on health, safety, and environmental matters.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop risk management plans to mitigate potential hazards.
- Monitor and report on health, safety, and environmental performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, including NEBOSH and NCRQ certifications.
- Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the health, safety, and environmental awareness of operational staff.
- Investigate incidents and accidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent re-occurrence.
- Maintain accurate records and reports on health, safety, and environmental performance.
Requirements:
- NEBOSH/NCRQ Level 6 (NVQ Level 5 as a minimum standard) certification.
- EUSR or CSCS in a related subject.
- NRSWA (SWQR) certification.
- Power/Fibre/Water/Gas/renewables experience.
- Proficient in data analysis and report compilation.
- Competent in core standard Microsoft software.
