Venture Recruitment Partners is pleased to be supporting a growing Small to Medium-sized Enterprise (SME) in the finance sector, who are seeking to recruit a Financial Operations Manager on a 3-4 month contract basis.
The primary objective of this role is to provide financial support to the finance team and other stakeholders of the business, assisting the Head of Finance in the production of management information and board packs. Additionally, the successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Finance to develop financial strategies based on research, ensuring ownership and integrity are maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including WIP and project accounting.
- Prepare and produce monthly management accounts, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Conduct fixed asset register and balance sheet reconciliations, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with HMRC returns and other regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the production, monitoring, and reporting of budgets, providing financial insights and recommendations.
- Manage and forecast cash flow, ensuring the company's financial stability.
- Lead and manage the Accounts Team, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
Required Skills and Attributes:
- Proven experience with Sage and other financial software is essential.
- Experience with projects and WIP accounting is highly desirable.
- Experience in managing a team is beneficial, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
