Project Financial Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Controller to join our Finance Business Unit at Boskalis. As a Project Controller, you will play a critical role in linking finance and operations, acting as a financial business partner for the project management team.
Your primary responsibility will be to produce, analyse, and present accurate financial information to support project decision-making. You will work closely with Project Managers and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including budget control, cash flow forecasting, and balance sheet management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage project financial setup, including budget preparation and monitoring.
- Prepare and present financial reports to stakeholders, including project managers and senior leadership.
- Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with the estimating team to prepare project work budgets.
- Monitor project progress and prepare budget control reports.
- Review and code purchase invoices for approval.
- Control and maintain accurate financial records, including ledger accounts and journal entries.
- Identify and report opportunities, risks, and deadlines/contractual obligations.
- Analyse and report on project financials, including variances from budget and cash flow forecasts.
Requirements:
- Relevant financial qualification, such as AAT or CIMA.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Knowledge of taxes, including VAT, CT, and PAYE.
- Knowledge of CIS preferable.
- Right to work in the UK.
Desirable but not essential:
- Experience in budget control.
- Experience in a relevant sector.
- Experience with an ERP accounting system.
