**Job Description:**

The University System of New Hampshire is seeking a highly skilled University Acquisitions Specialist to join our team. This is a key role that requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the library's acquisitions processing operations, including ordering, receiving, and cataloging of library resources. They will also be responsible for supervising the Collections Maintenance Supervisor and providing guidance on collection maintenance, cataloging processes, and budget management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage acquisitions processing operations, including ordering, receiving, and cataloging of library resources.
  • Supervise the Collections Maintenance Supervisor and provide guidance on collection maintenance, cataloging processes, and budget management.
  • Coordinate library materials processing procedures for all formats.
  • Perform original and complex cataloging of library materials based on current professional standards using the OCLC WorldShare system and its utilities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field.
  • 2 years of experience in related library work (acquisitions, cataloging, and/or technical services).
  • Experience working in a higher education environment preferred.
  • Familiarity with accounting systems and software.
