We are seeking a dedicated University Support Specialist to join our Human Resources team at the University System of NH. As a key department member, you will handle general inquiries, refer complex matters to HR resources, manage office administration, supervise student workers, and maintain records.

  • Minimum 3 years of related experience, preferably in higher education, with progressively responsible duties requiring discretion and independent judgment.
  • Computer skills in MS Office, automated financial systems, online recruitment software, and website maintenance are essential.
  • Familiarity with human resources procedures is also required.

The estimated salary for this position is $62,000 - $82,000 per year, with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, retirement, tuition, and paid time off.

This role collaborates closely with various teams, including Recruiting & Onboarding, HR Operations, Time and Leave Team, HR Compensation, and HRIS, to deliver HR Shared Services Support.

  • Provide campus-specific HR support and project support for the HR Director as needed.
  • Ensure timely completion of performance evaluations and required trainings, guaranteeing compliance and up-to-date knowledge.
  • Support PSU-specific HR events and programs, like recognition awards, promoting a positive workplace culture.
  • Process purchase requests, facilities work orders, and reimbursement requests, maintaining accurate records and control.
  • Update and maintain all HR website content, ensuring clear communication and accessibility.
  • Offer financial/budget support to the HR Director, showcasing analytical abilities.
