We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Infrastructure Procurement Lead to join our team in Cumbria. As a key member of our infrastructure development programme, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective sourcing strategies aligned with our long-term investment plans.
About the Role:
- Develop strategic procurement solutions for complex infrastructure projects
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver project objectives
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with procurement and contract strategies
- Lead a team of professionals in providing commercial and supply chain support
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers, ensuring cost-effectiveness and compliance
- Manage contract closure activities, including final pricing negotiations
- Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain stakeholder relationships
Requirements:
- Significant experience in infrastructure procurement, preferably in construction
- Detailed knowledge of JCT and NEC Construction contracts
- Experience in management and leadership, with MCIPS and MRICS qualifications
- Familiarity with public sector environments is advantageous
