Job Description:

As an Investigative Assistant with RSR, you will play a vital role in assisting our team in the investigation of serious and complex crime cases.

Main Responsibilities:

• Assist in the investigation of criminal offences and occurrences as directed; ensuring Record Management System (RMS) and other IT applications are fully updated in accordance with force procedures.

• Conduct interviewing sessions with suspects in line with Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984 (PACE) and procedures.

• Ensure accurate identification, preservation and presentation of evidence, while identifying and filling any evidential gaps.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Demonstrated ability to gather, develop and use intelligence effectively, completing relevant intelligence interviews and submitting correct information.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, allowing support for officer development and collaboration with colleagues.

• Strong attention to detail, resulting in high-quality evidential file preparation for submission to CPS.

• Familiarity with the Criminal Procedure and Investigations Act (CPIA), adhering to its guidelines.

Benefits:

This role offers a competitive estimated salary of £15.96 per hour PAYE and £20.77 per hour Umbrella, along with a 12-month contract with full-time office hours.
