Hernshead Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Biomedical Engineer to join our team. We offer a competitive salary of £55,000 - £65,000 per annum.

Job Description:

We are looking for an innovative and experienced Biomedical Engineer to design custom medical devices using patient-specific solutions. Your primary responsibility will be to process patient scan data using segmentation software and 3D CAD to create precise medical device designs.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Process patient scan data using segmentation software and 3D CAD to design custom medical devices.
  • Operate and maintain 3D printers to ensure high-quality medical device outputs.
  • Manage design, manufacturing, and quality processes under ISO 13485 standards.
  • Collaborate with surgeons to design custom medical devices and provide in-surgery assistance.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Biomedical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in FDM, SLA, and PolyJet 3D printing technologies.
  • Experience with segmentation software like Mimics or Simpleware.
  • Prior experience designing patient-specific surgical guides using CAD software.
