Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our Pupil Entitlement: Investigation Team as a Support Worker. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring children receive the education they are entitled to.

About the Role

The Pupil Entitlement: Investigation Team is responsible for investigating cases of non-attendance, fixed penalty notices, elective home education, children missing education, and children in entertainment and employment. As a Support Worker, you will work closely with a range of teams, partner agencies, and families to gather and share key information.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicate with and develop good working relationships with key stakeholders to deliver an effective service.
  • Support with the triage of new referrals, uploading key documents, and inputting information into the service database.
  • Update and maintain relevant computerised and manual records relating to the service appropriately and accurately.
  • Follow procedures and processes to respond independently to day-to-day queries, including using initiative to resolve unexpected problems where necessary.
  • Refer complex or technical queries, and those unrelated to the team, appropriately, working under guidance on unusual or difficult problems.

Requirements

We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills and some knowledge and experience of working in the education sector. You will need an understanding of safeguarding and enthusiasm to develop an understanding of Education Law and statutory requirements.
