We are seeking a skilled Scientific Support Specialist to join our team at Reeson Education. This temporary position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic Mixed Secondary School & Sixth Form environment in East London.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and deliver practical lessons in accordance with Health and Safety standards, ensuring a safe and efficient learning experience for students.
  • Organize and maintain Science resources, adhering to strict safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Utilize ICT systems to log activities and track progress across Science lessons, enhancing student engagement and academic achievement.
  • Properly dispose of laboratory materials, promoting a responsible and environmentally conscious approach to resource management.
  • Maintain effective communication with the Site Manager to ensure the upkeep and maintenance of Science facilities, guaranteeing a clean and safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve shared goals and objectives, fostering a cohesive and supportive team culture.
Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this position is estimated to be between £90 to £120 per day, commensurate with the applicant's experience and qualifications.

This rate includes holiday pay at 12%, providing a comprehensive remuneration package for successful candidates.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • A Science Graduate with prior lab experience or an experienced Science Technician is highly desirable.
  • Candidates must hold a clear and up-to-date Enhanced DBS certificate, ensuring their suitability for working with vulnerable populations.
  • Laboratory-based experience in a UK Secondary School setting is preferred, although equivalent overseas experience will also be considered.
  • An accredited Science Degree from a UK university or an overseas equivalent is mandatory.
