Operations Manager

City Group is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team. As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our customer contracts and accounts under your control.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Security Operations: Ensure that security operations on your sites run in respect of management, staffing, and operations.
  2. Sub-Contractor Management: Manage the use of sub-contractors, including holding monthly review meetings.
  3. Customer Service: Ensure that the provision of services is of a high standard by holding regular constructive and proactive customer meetings.
  4. Policy and Procedures: Ensure that company policy and procedures are implemented and complied with.
  5. Customer Complaints: Resolve customer complaints promptly and escalate where appropriate.
  6. Site Visits: Carry out regular site visits and support the Company's commitment to Continuous Improvement.
  7. Business Development: Identify new services with current Clients and possible new Clients to grow and expand the business.
  8. Duty Manager: On a rota basis, be the Duty Manager.
  9. Site Induction: Arrange site induction and ensure the Supervisor/trainer completes the site induction/training record form (and a copy kept on site and in SharePoint/Shared).
  10. Customer Complaints: Deal with customer complaints and take action effectively.
  11. Assignment Instructions: Raise initial assignment instructions and carry out site survey and risk assessment.
  12. Assignment Reviews: Ensure assignment instructions and risk assessments are reviewed annually at a minimum and updated as and when duties are updated.
  13. Team Development: Drive and develop the team about their experience to help continual improvement.
  14. New Service Initiatives: Design, introduce and implement new service initiatives to meet your customers' changing needs.
  15. Financial Management: Check incoming Invoices and sub-contractor Invoices. Ensure Hours Analysis is up to date.
  16. Site Documentation: Ensure all site documentation is up to date and accurate records are kept, including relevant Training Records, insurance details, and online systems.
  17. Security Personnel: Develop, manage, and monitor security personnel under your control to ensure the relevant standards, contractors' obligations, and health and safety issues are resolved.
  18. Equipment Maintenance: Responsibility for the manning and maintenance of equipment on sites.
  19. Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office.
  20. Industry Experience: Industry experience holds a valid SIA licence.
  21. Contract Knowledge: Deep understanding of contracts, contract governance, contractual language and the contract lifecycle.
  22. Critical Thinking: Critical thinking skills and the ability to research and understand legal and financial implications.
  23. Security Industry Knowledge: Excellent understanding of the security industry, its services and clients.
