Operations Manager

City Group Recruitment is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team. As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our customer contracts and accounts under your control.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure that security operations on your sites run smoothly, with effective management, staffing, and operations.
  2. Manage the use of sub-contractors, including regular review meetings.
  3. Ensure that the provision of services meets high standards by holding regular constructive and proactive customer meetings.
  4. Implement and comply with company policies and procedures.
  5. Resolve customer complaints promptly and escalate where necessary.
  6. Carry out regular site visits and support the company's commitment to Continuous Improvement.
  7. Identify new services with current clients and potential new clients to grow and expand the business.
  8. Act as Duty Manager on a rota basis.
  9. Arrange site inductions and ensure supervisors complete site induction/training records.
  10. Deal with customer complaints and take effective action.
  11. Raise initial assignment instructions and conduct site surveys and risk assessments.
  12. Review and update assignment instructions and risk assessments annually, at a minimum.
  13. Develop and motivate the team to drive continual improvement.
  14. Design, introduce, and implement new service initiatives to meet customers' changing needs.
  15. Check incoming invoices and sub-contractor invoices, ensuring hours analysis is up to date.
  16. Ensure all site documentation is accurate and up to date, including training records, insurance details, and online systems.
  17. Develop, manage, and monitor security personnel to ensure relevant standards, contractors' obligations, and health and safety issues are addressed.
  18. Responsible for manning and maintenance of equipment on sites.
  19. Proficient in MS Office.
  20. Industry experience with a valid SIA license.
  21. Deep understanding of contracts, contract governance, and the contract lifecycle.
  22. Critical thinking skills and ability to research and understand legal and financial implications.
  23. Excellent understanding of the security industry, its services, and clients.
