Facilities Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Facilities Manager in North Birmingham. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of site maintenance, including general handy-person tasks such as minor repairs to furniture and fixtures, plumbing, and decorating tasks.
This is a full-time contract role, working 6AM-2PM and 10PM-6AM on a weekly rotation. We require the candidate to have a proactive approach to support the site team as required.
The estimated salary for this role is £32,400 per annum based on a 40-hour workweek and hourly rate of £50/hour.
The main responsibilities of this role include:
- To have a good understanding of site maintenance, including general handy-person tasks.
- Experienced in carrying out statutory compliance checks such as fire and intruder alarm testing, emergency light testing, and asbestos visual awareness checks.
- Seasonal work such as gritting or clearing of leaves/snow.
- Undertaking rubbish removal as necessary, keeping school buildings, entrance areas, and playgrounds clean and tidy which will include some gardening duties.
- Have good knowledge of health and safety issues surrounding schools and building supervision.
