Job Overview: IDA Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Ophthalmic Nurse to join their team on Queen Anne Street, London. This challenging role requires assisting a prominent professor with retinal surgery and collaborating with the Research team on various studies.

This position offers a competitive salary of up to £38k per annum, depending on experience. The ideal candidate will possess previous experience in a hospital setting and have assisted with surgeries before. A background in private medical sector is essential.

The successful applicant will be responsible for:
  • Assisting with retina surgeries, study surgeries, and procedures including indirect laser, FFA, Photo-Biomodulation, Intravitreal Injections, centrifuge, drawing blood, and processing urine and blood samples.
  • Pre op assessments and scanning/examining patients
  • Liaising with the research assistant regarding retinal studies coordination and organisation
  • Contacting patients for appointments and follow-ups as needed
  • Dealing with administrative duties
  • Daily setup and maintenance of the surgery room equipment
  • Stock management and ordering medicines and consumables
