Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Supervisor to lead our engineering team and drive operational excellence across our production site. As an Engineering Supervisor, you will be responsible for contributing to the development of solutions to operational problems, agreeing daily performance targets, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring all processes and equipment are safe and serviceable.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Contribute to the development of solutions to operational problems and provide guidance on the selection and progress of appropriate solutions.
  2. Agree daily performance targets with the Engineering Manager and Engineering Supervisor.
  3. Maintain accurate records and files of all site machinery and equipment.
  4. Ensure all processes and online equipment are in a safe, serviceable condition.
  5. Analyse breakdown repairs and make recommendations for equipment upgrades, improvements, or replacements.
  6. Assist in line changeovers to suit production requirements.
  7. Position and install new factory equipment where and when required.
  8. Reposition and install existing factory equipment to suit production needs.
  9. Assist outside contractors, service, and commissioning engineers as required.
  10. Carry out daily pre-production checks.
  11. Fill in daily work reports and downtime sheets.
  12. Stand in for the Engineering Supervisor in their absence.
Requirements:
  1. Five years' experience in an engineering leadership position, ideally within Food Manufacturing or FMCG.
  2. Demonstrable experience of leading a team of at least five.
  3. Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering techniques.
  4. Knowledge of process control systems and industrial electronics.
  5. Commitment to the development of your own skills and those of the team.
