Senior Maintenance Engineer

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Maintenance Engineer to lead our Engineering Team and drive sustainable, continuous improvement across the site. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering immediate and short-term business goals aligned with our Annual Operating Plan (AOP), while ensuring the achievement of all key QCDSEM metrics - Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety & Environment, and Manpower.
Key Responsibilities:
- Exercise diligence and independent judgement to promote transparent, values-led and professional management of the site.
- Act as a professional and trusted advisor to the Engineering and site Management team on all maintenance and engineering matters.
- Accountable for driving maintenance completion to the highest standards whilst ensuring all safety and legal requirements are met.
- Responsible for the safe control of contractors.
- Deliver daily plan briefings & shift handovers.
- Monitor performance and proactively react to achieve required results.
- Report on KPIs and use results to drive improved performance.
- Regular constructive engagement with, and co-ordination of, the broader engineering teams (other sites, HSE Depts) to facilitate the local delivery of site engineering goals.
Requirements:
- Recognised and validated maintenance engineering qualification or certificate training to NVQ Level 3 standard in Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering.
- Level 3 Food Hygiene (or equivalent).
- Level 3 HACCP (or equivalent).
- Evident confidence in presentation, communication and negotiating with professional peer groups.
- Efficient in delivering objectives and key measures.
- Ability to work with peers in a matrix structure to draw in external skills to achieve local goals.
- Track record of delivery.
- Ability to manage priorities and projects.
- A personal commitment to role model behaviours and to leadership and management through example.
