Senior Instrument Designer Opportunity

Wood Digital Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Senior Instrument Designer to join our team. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for designing and drafting instrument and control works for our UK project.

This is a home-based role with the option to work from any Wood office in the UK. You will be expected to travel to customer sites and attend face-to-face meetings with colleagues as required.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in CAD instrument drafting and experience working in the oil and gas industry. You will also need to be able to pass a HMG Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check.

The ideal candidate will have a HNC/HND or degree in a relevant engineering discipline and be a chartered engineer with a member of an appropriate institute. You will also need to have proficiency in AutoDesk AutoCAD and MS products, as well as experience working with P&ID, Loop drawings, and ISOs.

We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of fibre optic systems, communications experience, and knowledge of 4G and CIMAGE. If you have experience working on the Sellafield Site and have a current SC security clearance, this would be a significant advantage.
