Bar Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Bar Manager to lead our bar staff in delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales at Clearwell Castle, a multi-award-winning wedding venue.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the operational running of the bars, including increasing beverage sales, ensuring staff are fulfilling their duties, and leading by example. You will work closely with our Venue Manager to achieve our sales and service goals.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bar and cellar management, experience of budget management and cost control, and a proven track record of driving sales through innovative and proactive approaches. You will be able to work both weekends and weekdays and be available for overtime.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the bar staff in delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales
  • Operate the bars efficiently and effectively, including managing stock, cash handling, and product ordering
  • Work closely with the Venue Manager to achieve sales and service goals
  • Develop and implement sales and service strategies to drive revenue growth
  • Manage budgets and control costs to achieve financial targets

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in bar and cellar management
  • Strong background in budget management and cost control
  • Ability to drive sales through innovative and proactive approaches
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work weekends and weekdays, including overtime
